Bobby Aazami's love for the visual medium was fostered at an early age in Iran after watching his first episode of The 6 Million Dollar Man on television. Enamored with his TV set, Bobby explored his love for the arts by trying his hand in every medium; from music production to stand up comedy, until he found contentment through the lens of a camera.
During his 4 years abroad in Haifa, Israel - Bobby was mentored in Photography by a seasoned Photographer named Ruhi Varqa (www.Varqa.com), where he learned to capture the profound beauty of Mediterranean landscapes and the silent moments of the people who inhabit them. The relationship between people and their environments kindled Bobby's childhood love for stories and characters, and ultimately toward documentary filmmaking. Bobby returned to the states to complete a BFA in Film and Video with a concentration in Documentary Cinematography from Chicago's Columbia College.
Bobby has since worked on photo-journalistic projects that have taken him to South Africa where he used his photography to document and raise awareness on the HIV epidemic, as a Set Photographer on a number of features and short films, as a Music Photographer who has captured the refined moments in portraiture, concerts and the recording process of some of his favorite artists and lastly, as a Destination Wedding Photographer who incorporates his love and artistry for the documentary aesthetic to capture the subtle moments of everyones most Favorite Day.
By applying the same principles of excellence found in both narrative feature and documentary films, Manifest Videography has created a style of event videography that values discretion, authenticity and emotional realism in each film we produce.

Raised in an intensely musical environment by two prominent music industry veterans, his Father John Barnes (Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Julio Iglesias to name but a few) and Mother Sharon Barnes (Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, New Edition etc.), he was steeped in a highly creative, productive and top shelf professional environment. This upbringing instilled in him an extremely natural and intuitive connection to music of all types as well as a work ethic and effortless expression of the technical skill necessary to achieve much success in his own right.
