I would like to thank my husband, my family and friends for making my wedding day so special. But I also would like to thank Our Favorite Day Photography. When the wedding is over and the festivities are done, we have one thing left to remind us of our wedding day…our photos. We can't redo that day or the moments therein. “We expected various types of photos for our wedding day which we thought through a lot before we even decided what photographers we wanted to work with. We always knew we wanted more than one photographer and you were one of the first to pop into our mind. What was important to us was not just the photography and the photographer’s suggestions and ideas, but also their ability to hear the kind of photos we wanted. Although we wanted the usual family portraits and candid shots that would remind us of the specialness of that day time and again, but it was also just as important for us to include story telling and humor in our portraits. You are someone who is well rounded to work with us on what we wanted and we were really happy with your service. You had your running shoes on, your equipment and were keeping up with everything that I was asking you to do.
What also impressed me was that at one point in the evening we started to have some problems with our principal photographer. You saw this and you could see that we were a bit stressed and although you were no longer contracted to be working, you offered to get your equipment and to continue working without any further compensation. That was very impressive but most importantly, calming for us to know that we had you as a back up.

“Our vision for our wedding day was for everything to be easy and fun. We didn't want the fanciest or biggest wedding ever, we wanted it to be more like a big party for all of our friends and family. We also wanted our photos to be sophisticated but to also capture the joy and fun of the wedding. We were really blown away with the artfulness of the photos. They were timeless and had an archival classy look to them. I don't know if we will ever have photos taken of us like that again. They capture that beauty and excitement of being a first time bride and groom.

We knew that you had also shot some other weddings for some mutual friends and they liked the service that you had provided. As a result, we felt comfortable. Accountability was also important. We knew that you were going to do your best. We trusted you.
There was so little time to plan our wedding day and so, spontaneity was the day’s best friend. Our photos ended up capturing our beautiful setting and both our serious and fun loving personalities.
It was also important for us to get all the high-rez images with our package. We didn’t want to have to go back to the photographer and have to pay extra to get more prints or buy out the high rez images. We really appreciated that we got all the original photos with our package.

“Our vision for our wedding photos was one that captured spontaneous interactions between family and our close friends. We wanted to avoid the manufactured, rehearsed photography that is all too common for events like weddings.
I have many favorite photos from the day; too many to mention, really. So many of them captured genuine laughter, joy, and love. The ones that especially mean a lot to me are those of me embracing my groomsmen and best men. All of those guys helped shape me into the person I am today, and at that moment, I was more appreciative than ever--and it showed. But the other picture is one of my wife and me during the ceremony. We did not pose for the picture, which caught us both in a moment of genuine reflection.
Our Favorite Day Photography did a fantastic job photographing the entire day. They were on the spot for some really intimate moments and truly captured them well without being intrusive. They were also on time and punctuality is a huge thing for me. I truly appreciate that. I was highly pleased with everything. Even scrolling through them recently, I got teary eyed from the memories of that day!

“We wanted our wedding photos to be something very non traditional and intimate. A lot of people get wedding portraits taken of them that don’t capture their lives or personalities at all. But you really worked with us to get the unique shots we wanted; that really captured us rather than got away from who we actually are. We also wanted photos of us taken outdoors capturing the beauty of the natural environment around us and the contrast of colors as a backdrop. You also captured the light really well and to our advantage. More than anything, I loved your candid shots.
I’m also a photographer, and because of that, it was important for us that our needs were met. You were able to adapt to what we wanted. You also added some of your own style which was complimentary to what we wanted and who we were but you did not try to dominate the photos with your own style of picture taking.

"Our vision for the wedding day was one of simplicity. We wanted an informal atmosphere, which reflected who we are and what we believe. The ceremony and the setting were our focus rather than the raft of other traditions surrounding weddings.
We expected a range of photos from the familiar family shots through to photos of us that we hoped would be timeless and classic. We loved the time we spent after the ceremony in the garden and on the steps of the Temple with the photographer, which was relaxing and surprisingly intimate.
These photos will remain timeless to us for a number of reasons: The light is beautiful, the colours are vivid, the setting looks magnificent, but above all…the photos reflect us both as individuals and as a couple."
